WHO WE ARE

Objectives

The object of the Society is to promote an interest in the science of hydrology and concern for water resources and their management, conservation and use.

To this end the Society will seek to encourage the study of hydrology and promote the proper and accurate assessment and wise development of water resources, including economic, environmental and legal aspects of water resources management, and to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas and knowledge.

Membership Benefits
Membership of the Society is open to everyone be they professionals, technical officers, students or members of the public. The Society currently has over 150 members.

Annual fees are only $10 to encourage active participation in the Society and to ensure its activities are available to all people.

Membership entitles you to attend approximately eight seminars each year free of charge and receive newsletters.

Seminars
Regular bimonthly seminars are interspersed with opportunistic seminars to take advantage of visiting experts.

Topics presented range from current natural hydrological events of major significance to outlines of research and water management topics at the cutting edge of the water industry.
